On this day, Graham officially became a 1st Dan (black belt)! At the High Wycombe Kyu Grade Open, he won four fights all by the maximum score to collect more than the remaining points he required to get to the milestone. To top off the successful day, he also won bronze in his weight group.

Thursday 9^th January - ETD Squad Selection: Patrick Sykes

Patrick Sykes, who earned a call up onto the England Squad for 2014, has also been selected onto the England Talent Development Squad for 2014. All England players were assessed on their technical and fitness ability, which included the running bleep test, press up bleep test, jump test and a sit and reach test. Patrick was successfully selected onto the ETD squad following his excellent performance at the testing weekend in January. Well done Patrick!

Tuesday 17^th December - England Squad Selection: Patrick Sykes

Congratulations to Patrick Sykes who has been selected onto the 2014 England Squad in the Cadet (u18) age band. This is an excellent achievement as Patrick only moved up this December into his new age category. The full list of the England Squad announced today can be found here.

Monday 10^th December - Harris Judo Club and Subarashi visit Crayford

Harris Judo Club and Subarashi visited Crayford Judo Club, joining in with the club's weekly Monday night class. A big thank you to Duncan Carey for organising the trip and to the parents for bringing the players. It was a great opportunity for both sets of players to train with different players and all worked hard whilst having fun too.

Friday 20th September 2013 - Club Visit

Medway Park Judo Club was the very first club to visit Crayford Judo Club, joining in with the club's weekly Friday night class. It was a great opportunity for both sets of players to train with different partners in a friendly environment. A big thank you to the visiting coaches and players for participating in the session and to the parents for bringing their children along.

Thursday 12^th to Sunday 15^th September - School Games

Congratulations to Graham Holmes and Neil Holmes who have been invited to officiate at the Sainsbury's School Games for Judo. The competition is a multi-sport event for the UK's elite young athletes in twelve current and future Olympic and Paralympic sports: Athletics, Badminton, Cycling, Fencing, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Rugby Sevens, Swimming, Table Tennis, Volleyball and Wheelchair Basketball.
